President Dr. Charlie Goodman

Dr. Goodman was elected as the sixth President of CCBBC on October 11th, 2022, and has filled that role since January 1st, 2023. He previously served as the College's Professor of Theology and the Director of Graduate Studies. He is also the former Dean of Students of the College. Moreover, He served as a senior pastor for over twenty-three years, pastoring churches in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia. He holds a B.A., M.A., M.R.E., M.T.S., M.A.R.E., and a D. Min. Dr. Goodman has studied at seven institutions of higher learning. In addition, he has written articles for various entities and authored the devotional content in the Waterproof Bible Sportsman's edition. He also co-authored eight volumes of the Sportsman's Seasons, a Bible study for outdoorsmen.

Dr. Charlie Goodman is married to his high school sweetheart, the former Rhonda Owens. Rhonda is a preacher's kid; therefore, she understands the life and work of the ministry from both the perspective of a daughter and a wife. Rhonda is a high school English teacher with a B.A. degree from Lincoln Memorial University and two Master's degrees from Union College. Furthermore, Rhonda has completed additional Graduate hours at The University of the Cumberlands. Rhonda has also served as an Adjunct College Professor of English and literature. Currently, Rhonda serves as the English department chair at Middlesboro High School. The Goodmans have one daughter, Taylor. Taylor is the captain of her high school golf team and is a member of the school Choir. Taylor is gifted with both academic aptitude and musical ability.

Dr. Goodman is a lifelong outdoorsman; he loves hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and golf. He also has a deep love for reading. Most importantly, Dr. Goodman’s greatest passion outside of serving Jesus is his family. He loves spending time with them and especially enjoys talking, traveling, and simply being together with Rhonda and Taylor. Dr. Goodman is truly blessed with a wonderful family. He has always said that they serve Jesus together as a family.
