Chapel

Chapel services are a mainstay at Clear Creek. We strive to provide our students with spiritually relevant preaching. We have been privileged to hear from such biblical preachers as Dr. Todd Gray, Dr. Paul Chitwood, Dr. Norman Geisler, Clear Creek staff and faculty, and various other Kentucky Baptist Convention pastors. This is why chapel attendance is required for all students — even those who attend online.

Students play an integral role in chapel, beyond attendance. Our senior students are given the opportunity to preach as a culmination of their studies. Other students participate by leading worship, singing solos, playing instruments, or participating in the Clear Creek Singers.

As part of our chapel program, we host two endowed lecture series. The Barry Lectures are focused on enhancing the preaching content and style of our students. The Lacy-Lykins lecture series is focused on the marriage relationship.

Current Students

All degree-seeking students (on-campus and online, full-time and part-time) are expected to attend all chapel sessions each semester, including lecture series sessions. Campus students report chapel attendance using the “tap-in/tap-out” system. To record attendance, the student will scan his or her Student ID Card on one of the scan pads located just inside the main Chapel doors.

Distance Education students (and campus students with a “physical attendance” exemption) must view chapel sessions on the Canvas Chapel Course Site. By viewing the embedded video on the Canvas Chapel Course Site, the student’s attendance is automatically recorded. To view a Chapel session, please login to your Canvas Chapel Course Site.
