Your gift to the Annual Fund will serve to meet many current
needs of students and our campus. Every gift will help provide
day-to-day needs for equipment and books, plant maintenance,
utility bills, and faculty, staff, and student salaries. Your
gift to the Annual Fund today is an investment in the future
of some promising students who will lead our churches tomorrow.
Nearly 90 students/student spouses receive income through
the Campus Workship Program. They staff the college administrative
offices, the physical plant, the Child Development Center,
library, and other strategic work positions on campus. These
jobs are the only source of income for some students. Most
of the jobs are minimum wage but total almost $600,000 of
our current budget. Just $105.00 provides a 20-hour week salary
for a student. You will also invest in training them for ministry.
This fund helps needy students with tuition, books, or living
expenses.
When Director of Physical Plant Charles Hanking received 600
doors from a lumber company in Campbellsville, Kentucky he
used the gift to “wall” the offices and large
classroom in the Asher Building on campus. Visitors often
comment on the uniqueness and good stewardship in the use
of this gift. Other gifts such as office equipment, books,
furniture, cars, vans, or trucks are always welcome and fill
specific needs. Good used clothing is distributed through
the campus “Thrift Store” and is recyled in pulpits
throughout the tri-state area.
Anytime throughout the year is an appropriate time to honor
someone who has left an indelible impact on one’s life.
Special holidays such as Mother’s Day or Father’s
Day provide the perfect opportunity to show appreciation for
parents who love the Lord and support His work at Clear Creek.
Thanksgiving for someone who has been a spiritual mentor can
be expressed by giving to any of the areas of ministry that
has promoted individual growth in missions, evangelism, music,
Christian education, or pastoral care.
Memorial gifts recognize an individual’s
desire to continue to impact future generations for Christ.
Some friends of the college send a memorial gift in lieu of
flowers for friends who were active members of a local church
and would prefer to keep telling “the old, old story
of Jesus and his love” through students who share His
love and Word around the world. The development office sends
an acknowledgement of the gift to family members.
Financial aid is a critical need for those who study at Clear
Creek. Since most of our students are married with children,
their financial need is higher than a typical student. Each
year 95% of Clear Creek students receive financial assistance
through scholarships. Many of these scholarships are established
and endowed by friends of the college who choose to honor
family members, faculty, alumni or other individuals such
as one’s pastor. A scholarship can be established with
an initial gift of any amount, but the fund must reach $10,000
before any interest is used for scholarships. A scholarship
agreement form may be obtained from the Office of Development.
Named for the late L.C. Kelly, the founder and president of
Clear Creek, 1926 – 1954, the L.C. Kelly Society exists
to encourage friends of Clear Creek Baptist Bible College
to support the future ministry of the College. Membership
is accorded to those individuals who have notified CCBBC that
the College is a beneficiary of one or more of the following
deferred gifts: Will or Living Trust, Gift Annuity, Life Insurance,
Charitable Trust, Life Estate, IRA or Pension Plan, Zero Coupon
Bond. Consider leaving a lasting legacy to impact future generations
for Christ.
Several planned giving opportunities are available to help
friends achieve their charitable goals and meet needs on campus.
These gifts are deferred, often enabling a donor to make a
more substantial gift through a will, trust, insurance policy,
or a gift annuity. More information on Leaving a Legacy at
Clear Creek is available from the Office of Development.
