Kingston Extension Students Visit Clear Creek Campus
Students from the Kingston, TN Extension Center visited the Clear Creek Campus recently for a day of class work and sightseeing. Dr. Allen England, one of the Center professors during this particular semester, gave the grand tour. They smelled the sulfur water from the famous “mineral spring,” walked across the swinging bridge, and ate lunch at the historic Kelly Hall. They were also treated to a grand tour of the campus and their first on-campus class. Student Robert Melton commented, “I am just glad to finally see Clear Creek! You hear so much about this place; it's good to finally get to see it for yourself.”
The Kingston Extension Center is located at First Baptist Church of Kingston, and enjoys great support from the congregation. Professors testify that the students at the Kingston Center are top-notch. “This is just a great group,” said Dr. England. “They're a great bunch of guys.”
Clear Creek Extension Center students can add their work there to classes taken at other schools to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree, or can eventually make the move to Pineville to finish their degree. Classes planned for next semester at the Kingston Location are New Testament 3, Old Testament 3, and Baptist Doctrine. Professors will travel from Clear Creek as necessary to assist the adjunct faculty in teaching the classes. All classes will begin August 11, 2008.
